How To Shop The Men's Department
Hello, it's me again!
These last few months have been a reshuffling of priorities, a reorganizing of time, a period of reflection and realizing.
With that vagueness out of the way... one thing that definitely remains the same is a respect for the men's section. Or boyfriend's/dad's/brother's closet - just ask permission first!
That's my dad's old tee from a running race on the "Old Kent Riverbank" - it's so worn and loved, perfectly sheer and beautifully drapey. I always wear it with a pretty bra and close fitting jeans.
For Christmas one year, my brother gave me the flannel button down, from the J. Crew men's department, worn here over a gray thermal.
The sweatshirt, paired with a gold chain link necklace from Banana Republic, was bought at the Austin menswear store Stag (my best friend Laura got a matching one). Truly, this place was one of the finest-feeling retail establishments I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Old Playboy magazines, woodsy and lemony soaps, perfect sweatshirts, hot dudes with beards. And! A puppy waiting on the bench outside. Heaven!
That red hat is from American Eagle, boys, by way of TJMaxx, men. The RayBans (unisex, polarized) are a forever love, and the hoops are from the corner store.
The belt, cinched over a chambray shirt dress from Target, I picked up in high school from the Old Navy men's department. It is, in two words, broken in.
Those boxers are also from J. Crew men, and yes, I bought them new.
