Networking with an Interior Designer

You may have seen my recent post on Instagram announcing the news that I have purchased my first home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. One of the biggest reasons for this move back to my hometown is the fact that I will finally be able to have my own home studio. 

In serendipitous timing, the seven year anniversary of My Closet in Sketches also falls within this momentous week. To celebrate these dreams realized, here is my very first sketch for this site, which I created one fateful evening while planning an outfit to wear the following morning for an informational interview with an interior designer. (I was desperate to get out of my 9-to-5 job.) Ididn't have a camera, so I made a quick sketch of the look in my Moleskine notebook. The following day, I glanced at this sketch and thought, "Oh! It would be fun to do this all the time!" The rest is history. 

I cannot wait to share the work I will create in my new studio with you. Cheers to new beginnings!
