Prairie Wind: How To Wear A Souvenir Horse T-Shirt

There is a general store just a few miles outside of Assateague National Park...

Besides the notable selection of literally anything one could ever dream of needing during a stay in the area, this shop also has a historical selection of horse t-shirts. It was not a matter of "if" I would buy one, but "when."

I think the key to rocking a horse shirt in real life is to both acknowledge and completely ignore it. A tribal beaded necklace from my grandma nods to the western vibe, while clean-cut separates in quiet tones, like a J.Brand white jean jacket and Forever 21 printed denim shorts (white jeans would also be fabulous here),  act as a modern foil to the biodiversity happening on my shirt. Simple thong sandals from Bass, my annual summer tangle of bracelets and Timex watch, and the go-to humidity hairstyle Heidi braids complete the roaming-wild-through-the-countryside feel.
